I started seeing Joan when I got diagnosed with a rare autoimmune blood condition to see if there were any diet changes I could make as an alternative to going on medication for the rest of my life. When all my doctors had no answers, Joan worked with me to identify the root cause and pretty quickly figured out I have celiac disease. She then helped me adjust to this lifestyle change and worked with me to promote healing. I’m now in a stable place with both conditions (without medication!), but still see Joan periodically about other fitness and health goals. She is always so flexible to work with me on my changing agenda and issues, I could not recommend her enough!

Joan is very knowledgeable and not judgmental at all, which is a great trait in a nutritionist. She has created a plan for me that is built on incremental, manageable steps and milestones that have helped me achieve both non-scale victories and weight loss. By keeping the day-to-day and week-to-week changes to a manageable size, I've been able to adapt more easily and incorporate these changes into my everyday life more effectively. After six months, I'm feeling much better and I feel like I've incorporated these changes into my life for sustainable benefits.
