Continuous Glucose Monitor Group

Learn What Your Body Is Really Telling You

Get Smart About Your Metabolic Health (Without Doing It Alone)

What is a Continunous Glucose Monitor?

A Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) is a small, wearable device that tracks your blood sugar levels in real time throughout the day and night.

What are the Benefits of using a CGM?

Using a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) offers powerful insights into how your body responds to food, movement, stress, and sleep in real time. This helps you identify patterns, spot hidden blood sugar spikes or crashes, and make more informed choices about your nutrition and lifestyle. We can use this information to support metabolic flexibility, allowing your body to burn fat for energy and not only rely on carbohydrates. Over time, this can lead to better energy, fewer cravings, improved mood, weight loss, more stable hormones, and a clearer understanding of your unique metabolism. A CGM puts you back in touch with your body’s signals.

Join Our 8-Week CGM Group!

A Continuous Glucose Monitoring Group is a guided, small-group program designed to help you understand and improve your blood sugar patterns using real-time data from a CGM device. What Past Participants Said

“I thought I knew everything about food, nutrition, and health – I was so wrong. This class offered content, pacing, and practical knowledge that I never knew. In 8 weeks, I feel like my eating has changed, my mood has improved, and my weight is moving in the right direction – and now I know it’s all due to blood sugar control. Without this knowledge, being healthy and lowering my A1c would not be easy.”

“It’s a fabulous way to learn – the instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive.”

Who is this program for?

If you’re looking for a guided, supportive path to understanding your blood sugar and metabolism without the overwhelm of doing it alone, this program is a great fit. We keep the group small and interactive to maximize personal attention and group connection.

If you have a history of eating disorders you might better be suited for 1:1 nutrition counselling.

Who are the instructors?

Your instructors are Emily TenBarge, RD, and Jessica Doyle, FNTP — both providing deep expertise in functional nutrition and compassionate, client-centered care. Emily is a Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping people understand the root causes of their symptoms, while Jessica is a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner known for her supportive, whole-body approach. How long are sessions?

Each session runs about 1 hour, giving us plenty of time to dive into real-life CGM data, nutrition strategies, and group discussion. Every session will include an educational component on how you can better support blood sugar balance and create lifestyle change.

What if I can't make the scheduled class?
If you can’t make the scheduled class, please let us know a good time that works for you. If we have enough interest for at least 4 people, we will open up another session.
What if I miss a class?

While we strongly encourage you to attend each session as these are small groups, we understand that life happens. We’ll record the session so you can catch up on anything you missed and stay in the loop. If you think you’ll be missing more than one class it might be best to join us for the next cohort.

Does applying the CGM hurt?
You’d be surprised at how you barely feel the placement of the CGM, however your arm could be slightly sore the day after the application. You’ll be guided step-by-step through applying your CGM during our first session. We find it helpful to do this together as this reduces the intimidation of applying the CGM.
Will I be expected to participate?

Yes absolutely! Because it’s a small group, your insights, questions, and experiences are not only welcome, they enrich the experience for everyone.

Please come prepared with camera on!

Can I use my HSA/FSA card?
Depending on your HSA/FSA, you may be able to use this to cover nutrition sessions. Great if you have leftover money in these accounts you need to use before the end of the year.
